Soft Computing is a peer-reviewed, open access journal publishing original research papers, reports, and technical notes on all aspects of Computational Intelligence and soft computing. The goal of Soft Computing is to inspire the next generation of artificial intelligence researchers by introducing them to the rich and diverse body of research and techniques, and by providing them with the opportunity to engage and interact with world leaders and top researchers in this area. The journal also welcomes submissions of any "soft" problems, as exemplified by: (1) any problem that can reasonably be formulated in non-monetary terms; (2) any computational strategy used whose effectiveness is carefully evaluated; and (3) any scientific strategy that might be readily used by others as a building block in the development of a computational strategy. The usage of artificial life and evolutionary algorithms is in the scope of this journal.
The main objective of the journal is to provide an opportunity for researchers and practitioners in the area of computational intelligence, soft computing, and other related areas to exchange ideas, reflect on their research, and share the latest developments. The journal's scientific scope covers a broad spectrum of research in fields ranging from theoretical and computational biology to engineering, from economics to medicine, from process control to physics. The journal covers all aspects of soft computing, including, but not limited to: (1) evolutionary systems, evolutionary computation, (2) neural networks, neural subsystems, (3) fuzzy systems, fuzzy subsystems, (4) genetic algorithms, genetic programming, (5) neural networks and genetic algorithms, (6) artificial life algorithms and genetic algorithms, (7) initializations and planning, (8) optimization, (9) pattern recognition, and (10) chaotic systems and behaviors.
Soft Computing reports on the latest research in the areas of evolutionary computation, genetic programming, artificial life and life, neural networks and neural systems, fuzzy set theory and fuzzy systems, chaos, and optimization. Publishing research in these areas demonstrates the flexibility and richness of soft computing applications well beyond the traditional borders of traditional computer science. d2c66b5586
