The built-in Microsoft Windows Update service may not update your drivers properly. Instead, use The Camera Driver Update Utility for Kodak. It is intelligent software that automatically recognizes your computer's operating system and camera manufacturer and model to find the most up-to-date drivers for it. There is no risk of installing the wrong driver. The Camera Driver Update Utility downloads and installs your drivers quickly and easily.
To find the latest driver, including Windows 11 drivers, choose from our list of most popular Kodak Camera downloads or search our driver archive for the driver that fits your specific Kodak camera model and your PC's operating system.
As Dave said. I doubt Window 8 would work with Easyshares. Give Faststone a try. My personal favorite is PhotoScape (also free for download). What I don't like with some software is it trying to sync or search the jpg files from the drive when it start up. Of course one can disable the auto sync but it is a pain. For basic and simple PP, I think PhotoScape is very simple and easy to use. It does not use index/pointer like Easyshare, it work directly in the folder where you store your files.
It's just the web installer, file size 1.96 MB. Which means that if you try to install the software, it contact's the Kodak server on which the software suite (400+ Mb) was available. On every Kodak site there's a notice stating that the Kodak Easyshare software is no longer available for download. So, using the web installer won't get you anywhere

The dial-up download takes about an hour but the cable/DSL download is justminutes. Go figure. Versions of the software are available for Windows 98/2000/XPand Mac OS 8.x-9.x and OS X. The earlier Mac version is actually a suite ofthree applications. But you get the picture.
First EasyShare asks if you want to download the One-Touch print package tooptimize your prints on Kodak paper automatically. This consists of a softwareapplication and driver for your inkjet. A great many inkjets are supported, but they aren't all supported under each OS. The Web site will so inform you.
Kodak EasyShare is a sub brand of Eastman Kodak Company products identifying a consumer photography system of digital cameras, snapshot thermal printers, snapshot thermal printer docks, all-in-one inkjet printers, accessories, camera docks, software, and online print services. The brand was introduced in 2001. The brand is no longer applied to all-in-one inkjet printers (now branded "ESP") or online printing services (now simply "Kodak Gallery"). Thermal snapshot printers and printer docks product lines have been discontinued. In 2012, Kodak stopped manufacturing and selling all digital cameras and photo frames.[1]
The Z-series[3] was Kodak's high-zoom and performance-oriented range of consumer digital cameras, replacing the original DX series. Typically, Z-Series cameras have higher optical zooms than any other series. The highest optical zoom camera offered by Kodak was the Z990[4] with a 30X Optical Zoom.
The V-Series was another style-oriented range of consumer digital cameras, replacing the original LS series. V-Series had a number of innovations, such as dual-lens technology, first introduced with the V570. The V-Series line was superseded by higher-end M-Series cameras.
Kodak EasyShare software[13] is used to transfer and catalog images from EasyShare camera models and can also be used with existing images (in .gif, .png, .jpg, or .tiff format) and non-Kodak digital cameras. The most recent version of Kodak EasyShare software is version 8.3, which includes support for Windows 7. Included in the latest versions is the ability to upload pictures and videos to Facebook, YouTube and Kodak Gallery. Other features include the ability to rate, tag, and caption pictures (using industry tagging standards on the files themselves), online print ordering facilities, photo enhancement and alteration capabilities, and home printing page layout control.
The Kodak Easyshare M5370 is a touch-screen digital compact camera with a 16 megapixel CCD sensor, 5x optical zoom lens with a 28mm wide-angle setting, and 720p HD video recording. Using an accelerated share system that now incorporates direct upload to social networking sites such as Facebook and video uploading to YouTube, the Kodak Easyshare 5370 costs around £109.99 / $159.95 and is available in blue and silver, red and black.
If you're in a rush to get a picture with the M5370, forget it. Start up time from pressing the power button to focusing and taking a picture is around 6 seconds. The big part of the time is taken up by the menu system booting up. It takes around 2/3rds of the time just to sort the menu out before the camera will focus. Pre-focused, the camera will take a picture in around 0.08 seconds which is typical of a digital compact camera today. We couldn't find a burst mode to test.
"Why can't I import pictures from my Kodak camera!! I want to quit Catalina!: I can't import my photos from my Kodak camera any more!!! [..]The photos are in my Kodac camera. My camera tells me to open the Kodac app. My laptop has discontinued this app, since updating to "Catalina" I am unable to download another Kodac app"
You can get the latest camera support for older versions of our software through the free Adobe DNG Converter. For more details and troubleshooting camera support, see Photoshop or Lightroom doesn't support my camera.

Home printing can often be problematic and the files shared on this site were produced in a color managed environment at Rochester Institute of Technology. Tones, contrast and color were created using digital standards and using color calibrated monitors. It may take a few tries to make a perfect print. Adjustments in image/print management software maybe required to optimize the print from this file.
