The famous "Heiligendamm Summer" was established in 1958 by Helmut Schmitz and Ulrich Franzen. Until today, the in these beautiful Baltic Sea towns, the 400 guests who scent the forest paths and take a dip in the ocean can enjoy the freshness of summer and the beautiful and varied nature. This year, the festival is offering its visitors a return trip to the mountains and cities of Heligoland between 24 and 28 June. The "Heligoland├ó├é├â┬┬ Secours projects" (Cayen project, boathouse in the upper harbour of St. Ingbert, new cinema and light house) exhibit the artists working in the field of the event. Many of the artists work with solars and solar panels. There are still a few places left at the "Heiligendamm Summer├ó├é├â┬┬ Bookstall. In this area, the Alte Landesbahnmuseum, the Porta Fica summer festival, the furniture museum and the collection of used objects are also waiting for that rare and unforgettable summer weekend.
The "Heiligendamm Summer├ó├é├â┬┬ Performing Arts Festival" (HOPF) will offer more than 315 performances during the festival. Since the very beginning, the festival has been considered the highlight of the summer season. This year, it is celebrating its 62nd anniversary. With the "Heiligendamm Summer├ó├é├â┬┬ Plays and Music Festival├ó├é├â┬┬," the Heiligendamm Summer already goes back to 1928. The festival is the largest of its genre in Europe and is one of the highlights of the cultural programme of this coast. Returning performers are the organising society and the Central Beethovenschool. The main programme events will include the opera "Das Fmininum" by Richard Strauss, a production of the famous Hedwig German play by Götz Friedrich and a GrandTonal ''opus 5'' by Dmitri Shostakovich. Of course, the festival also hosts a competition program led by the renowned Lorsch Music Competition and the newly established competition category 'Young Composers, young singers' by the Vienna Music Festival.
The daily program starts on Tuesday, 4 March 2018, with the Porsche Design Moto Show, which follows a format that recalls the tradition of the motorcycle shows at the venue. This presentation will take place in the main hall and begin with a short talk by the founder, Stefan Schäfer, at 10:30 am. d2c66b5586
